On May 11th 2018, the DAAD Information Centre Singapore in cooperation with TUM Asia organized an information seminar on “Doing a Doctorate – Research in Germany” in Singapore. The goals of this seminar were to provide an overview of the German research landscape, introduce young researchers and potential PhD candidates to study and research opportunities in Germany and present different funding opportunities.

This symposium was hosted by NUS Department of Pharmacy and the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) and students could hear from two leading experts on how we can create a culture where innovation thrives. The programme was also intended to celebrate the close relationship in science and research between Germany and Singapore.
